Eagles are large birds of prey with strong, hooked beaks. They usually hunt small animals and other birds. There are a huge variety of eagles, and they are found all over the world.

Earwigs are a very common insect found all over the world. They eat ripe fruit, trash, other insects and the young shoots of plants. They get their name because a long time ago people beleived that earwigs crawled into people's brains through their ears to lay their eggs. Earwigs do like hiding in warm, dark, damp places so it is possible they will hide in people's ears if they have the chance.

An echidna, or spiney anteater, is a small, spiney animal found in Australia and New Guinea. They eat mostly ants and termites. Along with the platypus, echidnas are the only animals that lay eggs.

An eel is a long, thin fish. Instead of having separate small fins on their back end like other fish, they have one big long fin that goes all the way around their long tail. Eels eat other fish.

An elf is a mythical or fantasy creature, usually depicted with pointed ears. Elves live in forests, have some magical powers and are prone to mischief on humans.

The elk is one of the largest species of deer. In Europe, moose might be called elks. Elks are native to North America and Eastern Asia. They live in lightly forested areas and eat grass, leaves and bark.

Emus are a large flightless bird that lives in Australia. It is the second-largest bird, after the ostrich. They eat insects and some plants. Emus lay very large, speckly blue eggs with hard shells. The male emu looks after the eggs and babies.
