P is for Port

Port, also called porto or port wine, is a type of wine that is fortified with a spirit like brandy. Port is traditionally made in Portugal but similar wines are also made in other countries.

Port can either mean the left side of a boat, or is another word for a harbour. Port, the direction, is designated the color red. The opposite of port is starboard. You might also be interested in port, the drink.
