Chopsticks are used in many Asian cultures instead of a fork. They are just two sticks that you hold in one hand and use a slight scissor action to pick up food between the ends of the chopsticks.
If you have never used chopsticks before it can take some practise to be able to properly pick up your food. Most food that is designed to be eaten with chopsticks is cut into small pieces before it is cooked, so you don't need a knife while you are eating.
