A marsh is an area that is often underwater, or is mostly <a href="/s/shallow">shallow</a> water. Marshes are different to <a href="/s/swamp">swamps</a> in that they only have low <a href="/g/grass">grass</a> and shrubs, and swamps have larger plants and <a href="/t/tree">trees</a>.
