Lis forLyre

The lyre is an ancient stringed instrument that is played by strumming rather than plucking the strings. One hand is used to strum, the other is used to silence the strings you don't want to hear. The lyre looks a little like a small harp. if anyone has a photo of a real lyre I would be grateful if you could share it with me

Mis forMaracas

Maracas have a handle you hold and a bulb at the end that is full of seeds or something else small and hard. When you shake them, the seeds hit the side of the bulb and it makes a distinctive noise. Maracas can be made of wood, leather, metal or plastic. They sound different depending on what they are made out of. Maracas that are made especially for a baby, usually out of plastic, tend to be called a rattle.

Pis forPiano

A piano is a musical instrument that you play with a keyboard. When you press a key on the keyboard, a small felt-covered hammer hits a string inside the piano, which makes a musical note. Pianos are used to make all kinds of music, and are very useful for learning music and composing.

Ris forRhythm

Rhythm is a movement or sound that has an evenly spaced, recurring pattern. Music, especially drumming, typically has a rhythm.
The saxophone was invented in 1841 by Adolphe Sax. He wanted to make an instrument with characteristics from both the woodwind family (including flutes) and the brass family (including trumpets). Saxophones are usually made of brass, but are a member of the woodwind family. The sound in a saxophone is made by a small cane reed in the mouthpiece that vibrates when you blow air through it. The different notes are made by opening and closing holes along the length of the saxophone.
