Words that are a past tense of other words.

Something is burnt or burned if it was on fire at some point in the past and is now blackened and charred. Food can become burnt if you cook it for too long.

Called is the past tense of call.

Cis forCame

Came is the past tense of come.

Cis forCapped

Something is capped if it has something on top of it. Birds with a colored patch on top of their heads are often described as capped. Mountains covered with snow are called snow-capped. Something that has been closed with a lid on top has been capped. The well in the picture has been capped.

Caught is the past tense of catch. The dog in the picture has caught two balls.
