Past tense

Words that are a past tense of other words.

Played is the past tense of play. For example, "the children played in the park".

Ploughed is the past tense of plough.

Rang is the past tense of ring. For example "he rang his girlfriend" or "she rang a bell".

Ripped is the past tense of rip. Something that has been damaged by being ripped is described as being ripped. A similar word to ripped is torn.
