A button is a small, usually flat object that you use to keep your clothes shut. Buttons can be made of wood, metal shell or plastic. There is usually some holes through the button or a loop under the button so they can be stitched to your clothes. You fasten a button by passing it through a matching hole.
A cannon is a weapon that uses an explosive charge inside a heavy, metal barrel to force out a heavy metal ball called a cannonball at high speed. Cannonballs usually weighed around 19kg.
Cannons are rarely used today, however when they were commonplace they were extremely dangerous. They were particularly useful in battles between ships, as a cannonball could easily go through the side of a wooden ship, which would make it take on water and sink.

Chameleons eat insects, catching them with their extremely long tongues. Chameleons can move their eyes independantly, and point them in two different directions at once.

Cinnamon is made from the bark of a small tree native to Sri Lanka. The smell and taste comes from an oil that the plant makes. Cinnamon is usually sold as a powder in shops, and is simply the bark of the tree ground into powder.

The cotton plant grows soft, fluffy coverings around its seeds, which are harvested and then spun into thread and woven into cloth. Cotton grows in subtropical climates, and needs a lot of water to grow. Cotton is still the most used fibre for making cloth out of worldwide.
