A tree house is a kind of cubby house (or Wendyhouse) that is built up a tree. Treehouses are usually just big enough for two or three children.

A trellis is a grid usually made from wood. It is designed as a frame for plants like vines to grow on. The cat in the picture has climbed up the trellis.

A tunnel is a long hole that opens at both ends. Tunnels are used to get places underground. They can be so small only a person or small animal can fit through them, or they can be big enough for trucks or trains to drive through.

A turret is a small tower that starts partway up a building like a castle, rather than starting at ground level. Turrets were originally part of the defensive structure of a castle but have since become decorative components on more recent buildings.

A vault is a structure made from intersecting arches, or many parallel arches, to make a large space out of a compressive material like stone or brick. With many vaulted spaces being built underground, a vault also became known as a place to store treasure, and today a bank vault is a locked box inside a bank where you can store valuables.

Vis forVerandah

A verahdah is a covered area attached to a house. Verandahs are very similar to a porch, but are generally bigger. A verandah might cover the entire front of a house or even cover two or more sides of the house. Verandahs are very common in Australia.
