Vampires are a mythical creature which is said to exist by drinking people's blood. They are said to only come out at night as daylight can destroy them. It is also said they can only be killed by a stake through the heart, or by a silver bullet. A vampire has no reflection, so they cannot be seen in a mirror.
A vandal is someone who breaks something that doesn't belong to them, for no reason. People who graffiti are called vandals. The picture is of a vandalised bus stop.

A ventriloquist is someone who can talk without moving their lips, and make it seem like their voice is coming from somewhere else. Ventriloquists usually perform on stage with a dummy or puppet, and make it look like the dummy can talk when it is really just the ventriloquist operating the dummy.

A veterinarian, or vet for short, is an animal doctor. Vets help sick and injured animals get better. Vets can do almost anything a regular doctor can do.
Vets usually specialise in a particular kind of animal, looking after only pets like dogs and cats, or just horses, or just farm animals like cows and sheep.
Some vets work in zoos with exotic animals like lions and elephants. Working as a vet with large animals or wild animals can be very dangerous.
A villain is the opposite of a hero. Villains often appear in comic books and movies, as the 'bad' person that the hero seeks to save the world from.
