A coop is a cage, generally in the ground, for keeping animals like chickens inside. To coop up means to keep someone in a small space, for example "my apartment is so small I'm all cooped up in there".

A corridor is a long part of a building that is used to connect two places. A corridor usually has many doors that open onto it. Corridors are found in all kinds of buildings, when they are in a small building like a house they are usually called a hallway.

A dam is a large wall built across a river to change the natural flow of water and make a deep lake form behind the wall. The water from dams is often used to water farm or supply water to a city, or to make electricity.

A deck is a platform usually made from wooden slats. Decks are usually built outside houses that are on a slope, where the ground is too steep to have a useable outdoor space.

A dike is an embankment or a dam made of stone or earth to stop water flow from a watercourse such as a river.

Dis forDock

A dock is a place where ships can come up against the shoreline and load or unload their cargo. It might also be a similar system set up for trucks to load and unload. Used as a verb, docking is the act of something connecting to a dock.
