Cis forChoose

You choose something when you pick it from several different options. For example, if you are asked to choose a cake from the selection in the picture, you might choose the chocolate one.

You chop something up by cutting it into pieces with something sharp like a knife or axe.
A chopping board is a portable surface, usually made from wood or plastic, that is used when you are cutting up food so that your kitchen table or benches don't get damaged.
Chopsticks are used in many Asian cultures instead of a fork. They are just two sticks that you hold in one hand and use a slight scissor action to pick up food between the ends of the chopsticks. If you have never used chopsticks before it can take some practise to be able to properly pick up your food. Most food that is designed to be eaten with chopsticks is cut into small pieces before it is cooked, so you don't need a knife while you are eating.
