Cypress are a group of <a href="/c/conifer">conifers</a>. Most cypress are trees, but some are low growing shrubs. Many varieties of cypress have a distinctively flared <a href="/t/trunk-tree">trunk</a>, narrowing as it goes higher. Not to be confused with <a href="/c/cyprus">Cyprus</a>.
