Lesotho, officially the Kingdom of Lesotho and formerly known as Basutoland, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, surrounded by South Africa. Lesotho is located in the Maloti Mountains, with the highest peak in southern Africa. Its capital and largest city is Maseru.
