A jackal is a small to medium sized close relative of the dog. They are found in Africa, Asia and some parts of Europe. Jackals normally live together in pairs, although they will sometimes form small packs to hunt. They hunt small to medium animals, and will eat dead animals they find. Like household dogs they will also eat fruit and other plants as well as meat.
Corgis are a small herding dog originally bred in Wales. The most famous owner of corgi dogs is the Queen of England. Corgis are a funloving dog, and make good family pets.

Afghan hounds are a large, slim dog with a long, silky coat that gives them a very distinctive appearance. They are a very old breed from the mountains of Afghanistan, developed to find hares and gazelles.
They are an independant dog, and are not easily trained. Even when trained, they aren't always obedient and will ignore commands they don't feel like obeying.
A pool is a small, still body of water. The dog in the picture is in a wading pool. Larger pools that are big enough to swim in are called swimming pools.
