Halloumi is a firm, white cheese that comes from Cyprus. It is usually made from sheep's milk, goat's milk, or a mixture of both.

People often slice and grill or fry halloumi because it keeps its shape when it is cooked. People eat it in salads, sandwiches, or with grilled vegetables.
