Leaves grow all over most <a href="/p/plant">plants</a>. Leaves are always some shade of <a href="/g/green">green</a>, although they often have <a href="/y/yellow">yellow</a> or <a href="/r/red">red</a> patterns on them. Plants use <a href="/s/sun">sunlight</a> falling on the green in their leaves, called <i>chlorophyll</i>, to convert air and water into food.
