Sis forShade

Shade is what we call a large shadow that you can sit or stand in. It is cooler in the shade than in the sun. If there is no shade, you can make your own by setting up a large umbrella or a tent.

A shop is a place that sells things. Most shops sell one particular kind of things - the shop in the picture sells clothes. You go into a shop when you want to buy the things that they sell in that shop.

A slum is a place where very poor people live. Slums are usually filled with rubbish and have a very large number of people living in them.

Sis forStore

A store is a place where you can go to buy things. Another word for store is shop. It is also a verb, that means to put something into storage.

Sis forStreet

A street, or road in a city or town is a place that people live on, or that has shops on. There are buildings on either side of the street and people walk or drive on the street. A very narrow street like the one in the picture is sometimes called a lane.

Tis forTomb

A tomb is a structure where the remains of the dead are kept, which is different to a normal grave were the remains are simply buried. There are lots of different names for tombs in different cultures, such as mausoleum or crypt. The ancient Egyptian pyramids were originally built as tombs. Like the pyramids, many tombs of rich or influential people are very large and elaborate.
A train station is a special place that you go when you want to take a ride on a train. Trains take a long time to slow down or speed up, so train stations are usually quite some distance apart.

Tis forTunnel

A tunnel is a long hole that opens at both ends. Tunnels are used to get places underground. They can be so small only a person or small animal can fit through them, or they can be big enough for trucks or trains to drive through.
A university is a place where people go, usually after finishing school, to learn more about something so they can get a job, or simply because they love to learn. Universities give you a degree or some other certification when you have finished learning. In some countries, a place where you go for other kinds of tertiary education is known by other names, like a college or a technical school.
A warehouse is a large building that is used to store goods in before they are shipped out to shops to be sold.
