Naan bread is a soft, leavened flatbread made from wheat flour, water, and often yogurt. It is usually round or oval, with a chewy texture and browned spots from cooking.
Naan bread is from South and Central Asia. Traditionally, it is cooked on the hot inside wall of a tandoor, or clay oven, and served with curries, vegetables, or meat. Garlic naan is a common variation.
