A river is a moving stream of <a href="/w/water">water</a> that flows downhill to a <a href="/l/lake">lake</a> or the <a href="/s/sea">sea</a>. Very small rivers are called creeks or streams. Rivers can be very <a href="/w/wide">wide</a> and <a href="/d/deep">deep</a>, often big enough for large <a href="/b/boat">boat</a> to sail on them.
