Something is hollow if is hard, but there is nothing inside. When you knock on something hollow it makes a different noise to knocking on something solid. Trees often become hollow if termites eat the center of them away.

Something is holy if it is sacred, or otherwise strongly relates to religion. For example, a priest may be described as a holy man.

Something is homemade if has been made at home from all the individual ingredients, rather than from a store-bought mix. Food made in a large quantity in a commercial manner is not homemade. Homemade usually refers to food, while handmade refers to other items.

Someone is homosexual if they are attracted to people that are the same sex as them. Homosexual men are often called gay, and homosexual women are often called lesbians. The opposite of homosexual is heterosexual.

Honey is something bees make from the nectar of flowers. Bees store the honey in their hives for when there is less nectar around, such as winter time.
