A fiber (also spelt fibre) is anything very <a href="/t/thin">thin</a> and <a href="/l/long">long</a>, like a <a href="/s/strand">strand</a> of <a href="/h/hair">hair</a>, <a href="/f/fur">fur</a>, sheep's <a href="/f/fleece">fleece</a> or even a strand of spider silk.
