A stapler is a device that punches a small piece of wire called a staple through several sheets of paper to hold them together.
Sticky tape or adhesive tape comes on a roll in many different widths and colours. It is very sticky on one side and not sticky at all on the other side. You can use it to stick things to walls, or stick pictures into a scrapbook.
A thumbtack, or push pin is a kind of pin that is used to hold pieces of paper to a wall. Thumbtacks used to be flat and silver, but more modern thumbtacks look like the ones in the picture.

You type when you use your fingers to press letters on a keyboard. The letters you type then appear either on the paper in the typewriter or on the screen of the computer that you are using. Typing is an alternative to writing.
Before computers, if someone wanted to write a letter that wasn't handwritten they used a typewriter. Typewriters work by hitting a ribbon full of ink with a small piece of metal with a letter shape on it when you press the keys on the typewriter keyboard. This leaves the mark of a letter in ink on your piece of paper.
A whiteboard is a smooth, white surface you can write on. Teachers use them to help explain things to their students, and people also use them to brainstorm ideas on. You write on a whiteboard with a special kind of marker.

Xerox is a company who make photocopiers and printers, among other things. Their photocopiers were so widespread at one stage that the word Xerox was used to mean any photocopier, or any photocopied piece of paper.
