Religious terms

Something is holy if it is sacred, or otherwise strongly relates to religion. For example, a priest may be described as a holy man.

Something is Jewish if it relates to Judaism. It might also mean a Jew.

A mosque is a place of worship for Muslim people.

A nun is a woman who has taken vows to devote her life to a religious cause. Nuns usually live in a special place like a monastery, away from mainstream society. Nuns wear a special uniform, so you can tell who they are.

When you pray, you offer praise or thanks to a deity, or you ask a deity for help or assistance.
