Poodles are very intelligent dogs that were originally bred as gun dogs, used to retrieve game from the water. Poodles come in several sizes, with standard poodles are the largest size and toy poodles being the smallest. Poodles make excellent pets, especially for people who are allergic to dogs. Poodles hair doesn't fall out as much as other dog's hair.

Scottish terriers are a small dog that is usually black, from the Scottish highlands. They were originally bred to hunt rats and badgers, and they have strong tails so their owners can pull them out of holes they have dug. They are determined, stubborn, fiesty and territorial. They make good watch dogs.

Swimming is a way of moving when you are in the water, using your arms and legs to push you fowards. There are many different ways of swimming, with names like breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly and the one that most children start with - dog paddle!
