Cis forCoyote

The coyote, or prairie wolf, is a type of dog found around North America, Canada and Mexico.
Coyotes normally hunt in pairs. They usually eat smaller animals, but if they hunt in a pack they can bring down something as large as a deer.

Dis forDingo

A dingo is a kind of yellow dog that was introduced to Australia many hundreds of years ago. They howl, but they do not bark. When people started farming sheep in Australia, the dingos killed the sheep, so people built a fence right across Australia to keep the dingos out.

Dis forDog

People have been keeping dogs as pets for thousands of years. Dogs can be used to herd animals like sheep, and if they are well trained they will obey commands like sit and fetch.
Dogs come in a huge variety of different colours and sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas right up to huge dogs like the Great Dane. A female dog is called a bitch and a baby dog is called a puppy. Modern dogs were domesticated from wolves, and were originally kept as hunting companions.

Foxes are a small hunting animal, or carnivore, that is found all over the world. They eat smaller animals like rabbits and rats. The most common type of fox is the red fox, as shown in the picture. A female fox is called a vixen.

A jackal is a small to medium sized close relative of the dog. They are found in Africa, Asia and some parts of Europe. Jackals normally live together in pairs, although they will sometimes form small packs to hunt. They hunt small to medium animals, and will eat dead animals they find. Like household dogs they will also eat fruit and other plants as well as meat.

Wis forWolf

The wolf is the wild relative of the dog. They live in forests and sometimes grasslands. Wolves generally hunt deer or any other available animal. A baby wolf is called a puppy.
