Family & friends

A boy is a young, male person.

Your cousins are the children of your aunts and uncles. They can be either boys or girls.

Your daughter is your female child.
A male child is called a son.

Your father is your male parent. Your father is usually the man who is married to (or lives with) your mother, but sometimes people's fathers do not live with their mothers.

Your friends are people you like, but who generally not your family. The two girls in the picture are friends.

Your grandfather is the father of your mother or father. Some other names for Grandfather are Grandpa, Gramps, Opa or Pop.

Your grandson is a child or young person who is the son of your son or daughter.

A heir is someone who inherits another person's money, property, or position in life after that person dies. For example, a prince or princess is the next in line to become king or queen after their parents die. While their parents are alive, the prince or princess is called an heir to the throne.

Kin is another word for relative, someone in your family like your parents or your siblings.

A man is an adult male person. Your father and your grandfather are men.
