Past tense

Words that are a past tense of other words.

Eis forEmployed

You are employed if you have a job. Employed is also the past tense of employ.

Eis forEyed

Eyed is the past tense of eye, but it means you were looking at someone or something. For example, "He eyed off the cakes on the counter".

Fis forFaded

Something is faded if it has lost a lot of its color and just blends into the background, or is no longer as bright as it once was. The sign painted on the building is very faded, and is hard to read. Faded is also the past tense of fade.

Fis forFed

Fed is the past tense of feed. For example, "I fed the cat before I left for work today."

Fell is the past tense of fall.

Filed is the past tense of file.

Fis forFilled

Filled is the past tense of fill. Once something has been filled, it is full.

Flew is the past tense of fly. For example, "a bird flew past my window".
