Bis forButt

The butt of something is one end of something, usually the blunt, wider end. A butt is also the remainder of something, like a cigarette butt.
Butt can also be a slang word for your buttocks.

Cis forChaff

Chaff is the husks and stalks that are leftover when freshly harvested grain is threshed. Chaff can be used as a fuel or animal bedding.

Cis forCore

The core of something is the inside or center of something. The picture is of an apple core, which is inside an apple in the middle. Sometimes people use the word 'core' to mean the most important part of something, like a core election promise.

Crumbs are small pieces of food. They usually break off from something crumbly, like bread or cake.

Dis forDregs

Dregs is the residue left behind after something else has been taken away. Dregs usually refers to the poorest quality part of something that has been left behind, or the worst of something, as in "the dregs of society".
Driftwood is wood, usually branches from trees, that has fallen into the water and then drifted around for a while before washing up on a beach that may be a long way from where it fell into the water. Driftwood is often polished smooth by the waves and water, and bleached to a dull grey.

Dung is a word for animal poo. The picture is of some horse dung.

Dis forDust

Dust is very fine dirt and lint that drifts through the air and settles on surfaces in your house, making them dull and grey. Dust needs to be cleaned up regularly with a soft cloth. The picture is of some cables from the inside of a computer. They are very dusty.
When there is a storm that picks up a lot of dirt in the air, it is called a dust storm.

Filth is disgusting, dirty waste. You might also use filth as an insult, for example "you people are all filth".

Gis forGarbage

Garbage is things that you don't need that have been thrown away. Another word for garbage is trash or rubbish.

Gis forGrime

Grime is dirt and other filth that is stuck to something. The wall in the picture is very grimy.

Jis forJunk

Junk is anything that is considered worthless or with a very low value.
What some people consider junk other people may not.

Lis forLint

Lint is a collection of very short fabric fibers that have broken off clothing and linen as it is being used. Lint tends to collect inside washing machines, dryers, the inside of pockets and even in your belly button.
Litter is trash or rubbish that has been dropped on the ground.
Pencil shavings are thin pieces of wood that are taken off a pencil when it is sharpened.
Pollution is something that is introduced into an environment that has a bad effect on that environment. Pollution can be industrial wastes, smoke, fumes, car exhaust, rubbish, excess light or heat.

Ris forResidue

Residue is the leftovers from something else that is not there anymore. When you have food or drink, there is always a little residue left at the bottom of your plate or cup after you have finished eating or drinking.
The picture is of some coffee residue.

Ris forRind

The rind of a fruit is the hard outer layer that you can't eat. Fruits like watermelon and oranges have rinds.

Rubbish is another word for trash.

Rubble is broken parts of a building, either leftovers from making the building or as a result of the building being knocked down. ruins are typically surrounded by rubble.
