Scientific name: dionaea muscipula

The venus fly trap is a small plant that grows in wet areas like marshes and bogs. Venus fly traps have special leaves that they use to catch insects that crawl through them. When an insect tickles the hairs inside these leaves, they close around the insect so it can't escape and the plant digests the insect inside the closed leaves.
