Vehicles

Anything that can move and carry people around, be it powered by an engine, the wind, or by pedalling it yourself.

A jet is the common name given to any airplane that is powered by jet engines rather than propellers. Most modern aircraft are powered by jet engines, so people tend to refer to smaller, faster military aircraft as jets.
A limousine, also spelt limosine or just limo for short, is a luxury car. Limousines are usually very long, and can seat a lot of people. Private individuals don't generally own limousines, you generally hire one when you need it and have a professional chauffeur drive it for you. People often hire limousines at weddings.

A monorail is similar to a train in that it travels along a fixed track. The main difference is a monorail has only one track, not two like regular trains. Some kinds of monorail hover above their track (also called a rail or beam). These are called maglev monorails. Many monorails travel on raised tracks above a city. Not all monorails are raised like this. The beams a monorail travels on are large and solid and are often cast out of concrete, like the raised platform itself.
A motorbike is a two-wheeled vehicle powered by an engine, the same as a car is. Motorbikes come in a variety of sizes and speeds, but usually only fit one or two people.
A paddle steamer, or paddle wheeler, is a type of boat that is driven forward by a large wheel. Usually the wheel is at the back of the paddle steamer (stern-wheeler), but there can also be a wheel on either side (side-wheeler). Paddle steamers are usually found on still, calm water like rivers. The paddle wheel can be driven by either a steam engine or a more modern electric or diesel engine.
A penny farthing is an old fashioned bicycle that was popular in the 1880s. It got its name because of the British penny and farthing coins, which were very different sizes.

A pram is a small vehicle you put a baby inside and push them along. Prams usually have a hood on top to keep off the sun and rain.

A raft is the most simple form of boat. Rafts can be made from anything that will float. The raft in the picture is a purpose-made inflatable raft.

A rocket is a long, tube-shaped vehicle that forces hot gas out one end when it is launched. Rockets can go extremely fast, and can be used for a variety of purposes.

A scooter is very similar to a skateboard but usually has two wheels, and a handle to hold onto it by. The scooter in the picture has three wheels.
