F is for Fisherman

A fisherman is a person who catches fish. A fisherman may fish in a river, lake, or ocean. Some fishermen work in teams on large boats and catch fish in large quantities for sale, other fishermen may catch fish only for themselves.
A fishing hook is a small, curved piece of metal used to catch fish. It has a very sharp point that can pierce a fish's mouth and often has a barb, a tiny backward-pointing part that helps keep the fish from slipping off. The other end has an eye, or small hole, for attaching fishing line.

To get the fish to bite the hook, people put bait or a lure onto the hook. Hooks have been made from bone, wood, and shell for thousands of years, but modern ones are usually steel.

F is for Fishing rod

A fishing rod, or fishing pole, is a tool used to catch fish. It uses a weighted line with a baited hook. When fish eat the bait they get caught by the hook, and the fisher reels them in using the handle you can see in the picture.

S is for Sinker

A sinker is a small, heavy object used in fishing. It is usually made of lead, steel, or another dense material and is attached to a fishing line. Its weight pulls the hook and bait down into deeper water.

Some spear guns use stretched rubber bands to propel the spear, while others use compressed air. A line often connects the spear to the gun so it can be pulled back and doesn't get lost.
