A bin is a container for storing things in. Many bins are used as trash cans, but bins can also be used to store , fuel, or virtually anything.

A bottle is a container with a long neck that is used to store liquids like water, soft drinks, wine and even shampoo.

A bowl is a shallow vessel with an open top that you eat out of. Bowls are usually used for cereal, soups and sometimes noodles or pasta.

Boxes are something you store things in. When you buy an appliance from a shop it often comes in a box. Boxes can be made of simple cardboard, or can be very fancy wooden boxes.
A box that is big enough makes a great cubbyhouse. The box in the picture is big enough to fit a girl inside.
A briefcase is a rectangular bag that is most often used by professional workers. Briefcases are usually black and made of leather.

A bucket is a deep container with a flat bottom, a handle and no lid. Buckets are used for carrying things like water, dirt or fruit.

A cage is something you keep an animal or bird in so it can't get away. Pet birds are often kept in cages, like in the picture.

A can, also called a tin can or just a tin is a metal container used to store food for very long times. Cans are made from steel coated with a layer of tin.
Some cans have ring pull so you can open them easily, most cans need a can opener to open them.

Cis forCanister

A canister is a container, usually cylindrical, used to store or hold things like food. It often has a lid or seal to keep the contents safe and fresh.

For example, you might keep coffee in a kitchen canister or use a small gas canister for camping.

A canteen is a type of bottle you carry with you on a hike. You drink from your canteen when you are thirsty.

Cis forCase

A case is something that goes around something else, for storage and protection. Expensive things that need to be kept safe are usually kept in cases. The picture is of a violin and its case, but it is common to see guitar cases and glasses cases too.
Case might also be a word for a situation or the state of things, as in "take some money in case you need it".

A cask is a reasonably small container, usually used for storing alcoholic drinks. Casks are usually shaped like a small barrel, although the term is often applied to cheaper boxed wine too.

A casket is another name for a coffin, or a small chest, like a jewelry box.
A chest is a type of box, usually made from wood with a hinged lid. Chests are typically used to store things that are valuable.

Cis forCocoon

A cocoon is a place a caterpillar makes for itself. The caterpillar goes to sleep inside it for some time and then comes out as a butterfly.
