You polish something to change it from rough and dull to smooth and shiny. You usually polish things with a soft cloth or brush and some polishing compound. If you are polishing something very large, you might use a mechanical device to polish with.
Pollination is a process where pollen is transferred from the male parts of flowers to the female parts, so the flowers are fertilized and can grow seeds. Pollination is usually done by insects or birds.
Pollution is something that is introduced into an environment that has a bad effect on that environment. Pollution can be industrial wastes, smoke, fumes, car exhaust, rubbish, excess light or heat.

Pretty is having a pleasing look or sound. It can also mean attractive or nice to see, such as a pretty flower or pretty music.

It can also mean "quite" in everyday speech, like "pretty good" or "pretty fast."
