A fly is a very common insect that can fly, as the name suggests. Flies lay their eggs in rotting food or dead animals in the wild, and in your house they lay their eggs in any of your food that they find. The eggs hatch into maggots.

Flying fish are a type of fish with very big fins. They can jump out of the water to get away from things that want to eat them, and then they glide through the air for some distance before they fall back into the water again.
They can glide for around 50-400 metres, and reach speeds of up to 70km/h. Flying fish eat plankton, and are themselves eaten by tuna and dolphins.

Flying squirrels are a variety of squirrel that has a flap of skin joining its front and back legs. Flying squirrels can spread out this flap like a parachute to glide between trees.

A baby donkey is called a foal.

Foam is made up of a lot of small bubbles, usually found on the top of a liquid like the sea or a glass of beer.
Something that is full of bubbles may also be called foam, such as the foam padding found inside seat cushions.

A focal point is where rays of light converge into a single point. The glass inside a magnifying glass is curved so that it bends all the light that goes through it towards a central point. If you move a magnifying glass up and down in the sun, you will find that at a particular distance away the magnifying glass makes a pinpoint of light that is hot enough to set something on fire. This is called the focal point.

Fog happens when a cloud is down at ground level. Fog covers everything in white mist, and you won't be able to see very far if you are in fog.

You fold something when you bend it over itself neatly. The man in the picture is folding clothes. Folded clothes are neater and take up much less room in the cupboard than unfolded clothes. They will be less wrinkly when you take them out, too.

Foliage is all the leaves on a plant, or all leaves in an area in general. For example, "the autumn foliage is spectacular this year".

You follow someone when you walk behind them, and go to where they lead you. Something that comes after in time is also said to follow, for example, lunch follows breakfast.
