A hobby horse is a kind of toy. It is a stick with a horse's head on one end.

Hockey is a very old sport where two teams try and get a puck into the other side's goal, using curved sticks. Hockey played on grass is called field hockey and hockey played on ice is called ice hockey.

A hog is another name for a pig, boar or other kinds of swine.
It also means to take more than your fair share and not let others have anything, for example "he is hogging all the apple pie!"

European holly is a flowering, evergreen small tree or shrub with glossy, prickly leaves and red berries. The berries are not good to eat, and will make you feel sick and vomit. Lots of birds and animals can eat them though. Holly is associated with Christmas.

Honey is something bees make from the nectar of flowers. Bees store the honey in their hives for when there is less nectar around, such as winter time.
Honey is thick, golden and sticky and is delicious on toast, crumpets and scones. You can also use honey to sweeten tea or use it to cook cakes and cookies.

A honk is the sound a goose makes, or a noise that sounds like a goose. Car horns are often described as going "honk".

While people have toes on the end of their feet and cats and dogs have paws with claws, animals like cows and horses have hooves.
A hoof is just the tip of the animal's toe, encased in a hard substance made out of the same stuff as our fingernails are made from. Hooves continue to grow just like our fingernails, and are worn down by the animal walking around. If the animal like a horse walks around on very hard ground like a road their hoof will wear down too fast, so people make them special shoes to protect their hooves.
