Some things that are slippery are ice, wet roads, banana peels, and rocks at the beach at low tide that have algae growing on them. The opposite of slippery is sticky.
A slippery dip (or playground slide if you don't live in Australia) is a smooth slippery sloped surface that you slide down. They are usually made of metal or plastic and have a set of stairs or a ladder at the back to climb up.
