You contain something by keeping it inside something else. The bucket in the picture contains a cat.
A container is something you can put other things inside, to transport or store them.
To contemplate means to think about something carefully and deeply, often for a long time, especially when trying to decide what to do. The woman in the photo is contemplating what she is going to write in her journal.

Something is contented if they are happy with what they have, and don't want more. The cat in the picture is contentedly sleeping on a woman's lap. Content is also the word for everything that is inside a container.
