A river is a moving stream of water that flows downhill to a lake or the sea. Very small rivers are called creeks or streams. Rivers can be very wide and deep, often big enough for large boat to sail on them.

The roadrunner is a slender bird with long legs. It lives in dry, open areas in the southwestern United States and Mexico, where there are lots of rocks and bushes. Roadrunners run along the ground to hunt small animals like insects, lizards and snakes.
