Frogs can be found around fresh water, including in deserts when it only rains every few years. They can breathe through their skin when they are in water. Frogs lay eggs, which hatch into tadpoles. Frogs come in a great variety of colours and can range in size from as small as a fingernail up to about 30cm long. Frogs that are very warty are often called toads.
A frond is a special type of leaf that is usually found on ferns. Palm trees also have fronds. The fronds on ferns start curled up, and uncurl as they grow.
Frosting, also called icing, is a sweet, colored layer that you often see on cakes and other baked goods.
Froth is a collection of tiny bubbles that makes a kind of soft foam. Froth is often found on the top of cappuccinos, and on the seashore.
A frown is a facial expression that people have when they are sad, dissatisfied, angry, worried or concentrating.
Something is frozen if it has been made so cold that it goes solid. When water is frozen it turns to ice. The photo is of some frozen vegetables.
